Our Delegates Say it Best
I was a little unsure how much I would gain from joining a NLP course. I’m so glad I did. It has made a big impact on all aspects of my life. It was great fun and interesting from beginning to end.
Mark D : Marketing Consultant.
I attended the NLP Practitioner course as I starting a new career as a Coach.
The skills I learned were exactly what I was looking for. You have time to learn and discuss how these things work on a day to day basis. I wanted to know if I could use these skills outside the lecture room. I have been really please with my skill level and my confidence.
Caroline M Corporate Coach
It was a really enjoyable course. I was very fortunate to have been able to study with such a great group of people under such a knowledgeable tutor. Dave shared his experiences as well as business advice throughout the course taking us all on a journey with well paced practical exercises everyone had the chance to practice what they learned in a safe and supervised group.
I know that at the end everyone was ready and raring to get going and get set up in practice, and that is all down to the quality of Daves teaching. He definitely knows his stuff.

NLP Training Course Content – Outline
Interested students of NLP from around the world frequently contact us. A significant number of these enquiries are about how to choose between the various training programmes and training organisation or schools.
The first thing to check is the trainer delivering the programme. Unfortunately there are some “trainers” who have received no recognised training in the delivery of NLP training courses. A well-qualified trainer will belong to a recognised body and will be happy to discuss their NLP training qualifications. We include a list of recognised NLP organisations that have a rigorous process in vetting their members so you can be assured of the quality of your trainer.
The second question is usually about course content. NLP training courses will have some variation in course content but will usually contain very similar information. There is a widely accepted level of content that you can reasonably expect to cover on most NLP training courses. An outline of course content is given below.
What is N.L.P.
NLP is the study of excellence and subjective experience. NLP allows you to develop the skill set of successful people and to learn how to learn more. To change how you think, feel and behave so you have more choices in your life.
Goal Setting and Well Formed Outcomes
Setting a goal or a well-formed outcome is a fundamental skill. This is important for yourself and subsequently for any client or coaching work you undertake. The setting of outcomes follows an eight-step process that helps the client gain focus and sets out objectives in an innovative and structured way.
Rapport is described as the development of a relationship in which individuals and groups develop understanding of others ideas, feelings, and opinions and communicate in a more constructive way. Understanding body language and the speech patterns of those around you is an NLP skill. All NLP training courses should cover this basic skill.
This refers to how we perceive the world. We take information in through our five senses. People tend to code this information differently, with some individuals preferring visual stimuli while others may prefer auditory or kinesthetic. This can begin to explain why some people are particularly attracted to the visual arts while others prefer to listen to music or have a relaxing massage.
These are the more subjective differences in how we code the information taken in through our senses. They help us remember the things we have experienced and also how to distinguish between the things that happened today and those things that occurred years ago.
Submodalities also help us decide which things we need to do tomorrow and those things that need to be done in a few weeks or a few months time. They help us remember what we have seen, smelt, touched or tasted. We are much more likely to remember a big bright bold image rather than a small grey distant image. Changing a submodality can really change how we feel about something.
Meta Model Language Patterns
This is the language of precision. Learning how to use precise language helps the individual gain greater clarity around an issue and helps the NLP practitioner gain a greater understanding of the underlying thought processes. The use of language and Submodalities underpins much of what an NLP training course will cover.
You will also learn how to listen more effectively and identify how someone may be limiting himself or herself. You also learn how to effectively challenge some of these self-defeating processes.
Anchoring a resourceful state
Learn the skills of successful sports people and how to put yourself in a more resourceful state of mind at will. Learn how to control negative feelings and keep anxiety under better control.
New Behaviour Generator
Learn how to generate new behaviours or change existing behaviours
The New Behaviour Generator is a strategy for generating change in your own behaviour. You can use it for generating completely new behaviours – something you have never done before – or for making modifications and changes to a behaviour you already have, and are now less than satisfied with. This process allows you to systematically build up an internal representation in the three main sensory systems of the specific behaviour you want. It works because the unconscious mind has no way of telling the difference between a ‘real’ event, and something you imagine vividly.
One of the first things we notice about the world is that not everyone shares our point of view. To understand something fully it is often necessary to develop a different perspective. Only seeing something from one position only gives one view. Developing the skill of perceptual positions helps develop a more flexible approach and understanding in any given situation. This skill is extremely helpful when resolving personal or group conflicts.
Strategic Planning & Strategic Thinking
Strategic planning and thinking involves defining a set of steps, which will lead from some present state to a more desired state. Strategic planning and strategic thinking skills are necessary in order to successfully define and achieve specific goals and objectives.
This provides a structured way to apply a number of NLP techniques and also a model for structuring our thinking and learning. Covering areas such as environment, behaviour, capabilities, beliefs, values, identity and spirituality. This process opens up many possibilities for generating change
Learn how to resolve internal conflict and overcome the trap of placing one self in a dilemma. Learn how to generate new alternatives and eliminate internal conflict.
Dealing with Difficult People
Learn how to deal with difficult people be seeing things from their perspective, gain intuitions about what may be going on for them in a given situation. Help individual and teams work more closely and with more cooperation. Become more flexible in your responses. The person with the greatest flexibility exerts the greatest influence in any given situation.
In principle you can reproduce any competency, skill or quality if you can reproduce all the relevant bits of thinking and behaviour.
Learn how to identify exactly what the skill or competency you want is. The ‘smaller’ it is, the better. Find the best available model of this skill and ask the person’s permission to ask them some questions about how they do it. You want to find out the necessary and sufficient beliefs, emotional states, thinking strategies and external behaviors. Be aware that although you can often get useful results quite quickly, if you want consistently good results, you really need all the skills from a correctly taught NLP practitioner course.
